Keedan Rigney is a proud Ngarrindjeri/Wirangu visual artist based in Naarm on Wurundjeri Country. He is a contemporary and multidisciplinary First Nations artist whose work deeply engages with the connections between Country, family, and health.
Artist Statement
Through his vibrant and evocative pieces, Keedan investigates the intrinsic symbiotic relationship between nature and humanity. By exploring how Land, Water, and Sky Country are interconnected, his works delve into our connection to Country, examining the complex relationships between a healthy environment and healthy people. By emphasising these profound connections, Keedan's artwork reveals how nature mirrors our mental and physical health, highlighting the vital importance of nurturing both our environment and ourselves.
