Held on June 21–22 at Abbotsford Convent, Lost in Translation was a two-day group exhibition featuring 33 artists, 15 market stalls, 5 DJs, an audiovisual performance, and courtyard projections.
The event invited audiences to explore the intangible moments of connection that often go unspoken; those shared feelings, memories and misunderstandings that shift and reshape between people.
Through interactive installations, visual art, music and shared space, Lost in Translation unpacked the limits of language and the intimacy of what remains unsaid. From quiet miscommunications to the weight of unspoken love, the exhibition created a space for feeling rather than defining.
Set across The Store and the Convent’s courtyard, the weekend offered a layered sensory experience that blurred the lines between audience and artwork. Whether reading unsent letters, exploring installations, or wandering through market stalls, visitors were invited to reflect on what lingers when words fall short—and the meaning we make in those gaps.
