Artist Statement
Where do you go when you dream?
This was the question Eden considered while making this series. Intrigued by psychology and plagued by frequent night terrors, Eden conducted research into sleep cycles and found inspiration while reading about the difference in brain waves during each stage of sleep.
Delta waves are high amplitude neural oscillations - as well as the slowest type of brainwaves recorded in humans. Commonly found in the brains of babies, they signify deep relaxation and restorative, healing sleep.
As a sufferer of incessant sleep disturbances, bad dreams and consequently, fatigue, Eden was drawn to the idea of what the world of delta waves might look and feel like for a tired, overworked brain such as hers.
