Eat The View (2025)

Bella is an experimental artist who explores the intersection of sensory experiences to communicate her synesthesia. She often combines sound and painting within installation spaces, creating immersive environments where polyphony is expressed through multiple senses.

This integration of sound and visual elements is a key feature of her work. Many of Bella's pieces can be experienced both individually and as part of a larger, interconnected whole. As her practice evolves, she seeks to engage the senses in a unified way, blending contemporary painting techniques and soundscapes to present them not as separate entities, but as a cohesive, interconnected 'Being'.

For Summer Daze, Bella Dredge has begun creating a collection of works that is directed toward the emotional atmosphere of summer. The season becomes a multi-sensory state with warmth felt as colour, light translated into sound, and memory experienced as a layered, immersive environment. Summer exists here as a culmination of sensations.

This growing body of work explores how fleeting experiences become embedded in the senses, with heat, brightness and ambient noise being at the forefront. Through the merging of sound and painting, the works aim to create a polyphonic environment where multiple sensory cues overlap and echo one another. Although the sound is not present, the paintings are allowing you to hear it.
