Artist Statement
Summer Produce forms part of a broader collection of artworks centred on food and the shared experience of eating together. These pieces highlight the vibrant colours and unique shapes of vegetables that are ripe for enjoyment during the summer months, bringing a sense of joy to any gathering around the table.
The acts of growing, preparing, and eating food together represent a meaningful way to celebrate and nurture community. This body of work is a tribute to the everyday rituals that unite people, emphasising the beauty found in ordinary moments spent together.
